The illusion behind "The youth Culture"

One of the very popular term used in the Urban Population nowadays is "Youth Culture". For most of the new comers to the Cities or to the College, there seem to be a pre-defined rules to look Cool among the youth that is Youth Culture. I challenge these thoughts and believe that these so called cultures are not leading us towards the real growth and intelligence in any way.

Let me explain this with an example; Few years ago, I read one of the very popular Novel named “One Night at the Call Center” written by Chetan Bhagat. Indeed, not to mention that the author is Just Awesome in presenting Ideas in lively and easy way. Instead, I would like to say that the novel has got a very important message to the entire youth population.  The misconception or vagueness that can be seen among youths about different matters such as life, happiness etc. needs to be addressed and this book has done this in a very different way.
Here, I would like to quote some paragraphs of the book for the understanding. It is the conversation between two characters in the Novel. It goes like this-

“On our right side, there was a hoarding of a cola company. A top Bollywood actress held a drink bottle and looked at us with inviting eyes. Like a fizzy drink was all it took to seduce her.

Character A: ‘There she is, looking at us like she is our best friend. Do you think she cares for us?

Character B:
‘I don’t know. She is a youth Icon’

Character A:
‘Yes, youth icon. The airhead chick is supposed to be our role model. Like she knows a fuck about life and gives a fuck about us. All she cares about is cash. She doesn’t care about you or me. She just wants you to buy this black cola’
‘Even the youth special channel, they don’t care either. They say youth because they want the damn Pizza hut and Cokes and Pepsis of the world to come and give their ads to them. Ads say that, if we spend our salary to have Pizza and Coke, we will be happy. Like young people don’t have a brain.’ They want us to spend buy stuffs like Junk food,  colored fizzy water, dumbass credit cards and overpriced shoes. The only youth power they care about is our spending power.”

Here, I believe that the message forwarded by the author is Deep and should be considered by all the youth. So, a generation should understand that the youth are not for spending and chilling as shown in some ads or movies. Rather they should focus on nation building and making the prosperous society through harmony, peace, solidarity and compassion in the heart along with preserving the Cultures and Values that we have inherited through generations.

Thankyou!!

When You Decide...

When you decide that something is true for you, you’ll do everything in your power to make it so. This can be a powerful force working against you or working in your favor, depending on what you see as being true. Do you believe that everyone is out to cheat you, abuse you and take advantage of you? Then you’ll find yourself being drawn towards situations where that is precisely what will happen. Do you believe that you have the ability to truly make a positive difference in the world, lifting up yourself and others? Then you’ll find an abundance of opportunities for doing so. If you believe your troubles are someone else’s fault, then you’ll never allow yourself to rise above them. When you see your circumstances as being your own responsibility, then you put yourself in full control. The more you argue in favor of your limitations, the more stubbornly they’ll hold you back. The more you promote and project your own positive possibilities, the more real and valuable they’ll bec

Society, True Knowledge and Leadership !!!

The Word we say “ Society ” is as easy and complex at the same time. Everyone of us must be well known with the term yet if you truly ask yourself the deeper meaning of society, we may not come up with the one single answer. We Never Miss... - A poem by ______.

We never miss the things we have,       Until they are long gone… Like notes and words that we once hummed,       From now forgotten song. We never miss hot summer’s heat,       Until cold winter’s blast… Then we bemoan the ice and snow,       Regret that summers’ past. We never miss the sunshine,       Until a cloudy day… We take for granted those bright rays,       That darkness steals away. We only miss a love we have,        When it can’t be brought back… The void from that can fill the soul,       Each crevice and each crack. We never miss things we have,      Till they’re no longer there… It’s only when they’ve disappeared,      we realize we care.                                                               -Author Unknown
